Penguin Random House recently hosted its Fifth Annual Common Reading Advisory Board Summit in Orlando, one day prior to the 2016 Conference on the First-Year Experience®.
Previous board members Elizabeth Bracher (Boston College), Jeanne Leep (Edgewood College) and Karen Weathermon (Washington State University) were joined by new members Abby Nobili (University of Central Florida), Edwin Mayes (Case Western Reserve University), Elizabeth Gales (Edgewood College) and Marge Litchford (Smith College) for a creative and productive workshop. Topics covered included: forthcoming Penguin Random House titles ideal of common reading; hosting an author and developing innovative programming; and the future of FYE programs. The Board did amazing work and helped to deepen Penguin Random House’s connection to and understanding of Common Reading marketing.
