Kristen Iversen Wins Alliance for Nuclear Accountability Award

Kristen Iversen, author of Full Body Burden, was honored on April 16 by the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability in Washington, DC.  Fellow honorees included U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, director and filmmaker Kathleen Sullivan, and environmental lawyer Diane Curran.  The ANA, founded in 1987, represents the concerns of communities living in the shadow of nuclear weapons sites and radioactive waste dumps.

Full Body Burden has been chosen as one of the Best Books of 2012 by Kirkus Reviews and the American Library Association, a 2012 Best Book about Justice by The Atlantic and a Finalist for the Barnes & Noble Discover Award and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence.  The book has been selected as Common Reading at Fort Lewis College, California State University, Sacramento, Michigan Technical University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
