Full Body Burden by Kristen Iversen, recently chosen as common reading at both Virginia Commonwealth University and Fort Lewis College, was given an outstanding review on January 7 from Brevity Magazine’s Cassandra Kircher. Brevity, an online literary magazine that publishes essays of 750 words or less and averages 10,000 unique visitors per month, praised Full Body for its “ability to shift gears from the journalistic and factual to the aesthetic.” Full Body Burden, which chronicles a family living in Colorado near Rocky Flats, a nuclear weapons plant, is available in hardcover. It will be released in paperback this June.
Kristen Iversen is currently an associate professor at The University of Memphis.
