I was matched with The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. This sounds like a great book that is sure to generate a lot of great discussion and debate in our freshman seminars, especially through the themes of social justice.

  2. Erin Thaler

I was matched with “The Other Wes Moore.” The match has good potential for our Title I school. We have an active Community Reads program, led by seniors and involving 9th-12th grade students, teachers, and community members. Could be a good discussion piece on opportunities available, taken, and missed.

  3. Bethany Smith

I was matched with the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I am so interested in this book because of our school’s themes of social justice and research scholarship.

  4. Lindsay Verwys

I was matched with Outcasts Unlimited. I am very interested in true stories, especially when they involve sports. Thank you for offering this program!

  5. Valerie Bagley

I was matched with Outcasts United. I think it’s a great book for the campus I am on as we are a smaller southern town and a very sports-driven school. The themes of leadership and service are important to my campus and I think that this book will allow us to do some creative companion programming in order to drive home the themes of the book.
